Message from the Chairman

First off thank you for stopping by on our web site. You’ll find us to be a friendly and engaging group. We have set our programs and services up much like a buffet. You get to decide what to use and what will have the biggest impact on your business.
And speaking of business, we are committed to providing value to you and your business. The two biggest suggestions I could make to you to have a great productive and profitable year is first to get involved. People do business with people they know, trust and like. Expand your network by taking advantage of our services and programs. The second suggestion is put your focus on having that great productive and profitable year. Choose not to participate in this down economy. Now you may say that is crazy and yet that is exactly what some business owners and companies are choosing to do and guess what…it’s working. Now I’m not saying it will be easy and I’m not saying to put on your rose colored glasses but I’m giving you the advice from the ages. During the Great Depression the worst economic period in our nation’s history there were millionaires that were created, and there were great companies that were created. Some of the biggest named companies were started during tough economic times like All State, Microsoft and Apple.
You get to chose where your focus goes. How did these individuals and companies do it? By focusing on their customers, by focusing on what was needed, by focusing on providing value. Our focus this year is on going from a “Good” Chamber to a “Great” Chamber and we would love to have you come along with us for that ride.
It may not be smooth, or easy or even attainable this year, but it will all be worth it in the end. We are committed to our membership to provide increased value to them for their membership dollars. At the end of 2010 the board decided because of these tough economic times that we would roll back our membership dues to the year 2000 level. Many of you took advantage of that and expressed how much you appreciated that.
We would love to have you join us. This is your Chamber! Together we can go from Good to Great, but we’ll need your help. So come and join us. Make this year your most productive and most profitable year yet. Come link arms with us and get involved. We are here for you.
